Effort was good. More games like this would be great.

The effort was back, Wolf was himself, and two more tank points? I'll take that! I think we'll see some more competitive games after tonight. I'm not fully team tank as I like to see the Flames win games, but I think this is honestly what they need this year so I'm on board, win or lose!

Isn't this exactly what you want though Rhett? Tanking with the young guys still playing well? It kinda sounds like you're complaining even though this is the EXACT outcome you're looking for...

Flames had more shots, chances, HD chances, puck possesion, and a higher expected goals.
You have the same take every game no matter what actually happens

Oh yeah, it is the scenario I want. I want us to lose a lot!
But I think they could play Parekh a lot more on power play, can bring Gridin up and scratch any of the bum wingers for him. And they can play more kids.
But otherwise, yes things are going to plan.

You know what the difference level?
Top-end talent.
Scheifele and Connor connecting on the GWG.
Flames don't have talent to break games, full-stop. Can we even argue that at this stage?

I think it was a very even game and won basically by one blown play.

Farabee has 10 high danger chances per game but zero chance of scoring. The Jets players actually have skill when they shoot the puck.

The last guy I want super young players watching as an example is Kadri.

GOAT!

I just wish the team would give up the "we're a playoff team" facade they keep clinging to, and start dumping guys now. Give the rest of this season to the young guys and let them get used to playing in the bigs with no pressure to win. A 72-game training camp. Give them things to work on during the season, and support them as needed.
I would much rather watch young, fast and hungry players lose than old, slow and full ones.

Zary tonight: 13:19 TOI, one minor penalty, zero shots on goal, -1, zero hits, zero blocks. Just having a real tough time standing out at all.

We can argue brain dead lazy takes that the Flames were outplayed and Wolf kept them in it. Flames hit 2 posts in the 3rd and gave up 1 5 on 5 chance.
