He's a terrible GM. Why did we give this bum five million dollars? He's way off the pace. Nobody is going to pick this guy up on waivers with over two million bucks left to go on his deal. Conroy was dealt a bad hand with the contracts he had on the books when he took over, but there's no excuse for this one.

Man if you are going to take a run at someone at least have your facts even remotely straight.

You're right, sorry, I thought it was 2.5m a year for two years, not total. Still, the guy is just not an NHL calibre player. He's a warm body. We have enough of those.

Yeah and if anything it helps them get to the cap floor. The contract is in no way prohibitive with the cap space they have. He is not playing good this year but who cares.

Starting to look like the Hanifin trade will hinge on a #29 or later pick to yield something.

Sharangovich should be next. Doubt anyone claims him and if they do even better. He can work on his compete level on the Wranglers for awhile and bring up someone who gives a f***

Don't really want him taking playing time down in the farm.
Maybe another GM sees something to take a chance on him. A claim would be the best outcome here.

It always was about the 1st and the 3rd. Miro was a throw in.

A forward turned defender who could not defend or create chances. Wish the Flames just got a mid round pick instead in that trade

Miro and any player his age background was worth a 6th or 7th pick. The Flames gambled on the aging prospect. an unprotected 1st and a 3rd is nothing to sneeze at for what was a deadline rental.

Excited to see Miromanov potentially join the Wranglers, he's quite good at the AHL level and they could use what he brings

The average mid round pick never plays in the league so what does it matter

Sharangovich is not going on waivers. This is getting ridiculous.

Do the Wranglers really need someone take playing time away from the guys who need development? Or are there some AHL veterans on the team that he would displace?

I don’t think he was a prospect when they traded for him, he was 26. I’m not disagreeing that the trade is still fine, just in hindsight another draft pick would have been preferred but the Flames did not have much leverage.

Someone named Turner Ottenbreit played D for them the other night, I'm not too worried

Really only Cicek. There are a couple others who aren't Falmes property but they don't get into games generally.
I wonder if they will bring up one of the ELC Ds who they can move back freely. Hunter B is PPG down there.

Yeah, but they do have Hunter B., Kuz, Poirier, Morin, Grushnikov who all need minutes. Plus they have Cicek.
Morin has only played 1 game - not sure if he's hurt or not.
