Yup.

You have Honzel already as an AHL/NHL tweener. Gridin, Suniev, Basha already in the NHL/AHL that will be pushing for a role..

Battaglia, Reschny, Potter, Misa, etc coming in the upcoming years.

This is the season to find out what you have in Stromgren and Kerins.

How is it being negative if he is speaking facts & frustrated at his team's inability to make the right decision, year after year?

Maybe it should you be that needs the break if you are this triggered by valid points?

I'm not questioning facts I'm questioning diss' delivery. Not just that quoted post. Diss is negative lately.

I guess I really didn't notice him the last two games... I also didn't get to watch the last two games so there's that.

Too bad he's the one to get sent down. He'll be back up though.

Gridin down is dumb.

Short sighted organization.

You send him down so he can play a ton and in all situations. I feel that is the exact opposite of short sighted and more in line with a long term approach.

I don't think those are valid points when it comes to this small of a sample size.

Gaudreau was a healthy scratch too, as a part of his development. In his case it seemed to help.

As for Kirkland, Miro, and Bean being in the lineup. At least 2 of them are healthy scratched, and I don't think that having Kerins, Gridin, or Kuznetsov as a healthy scratch would've been any better for the team. Lomberg will likely be a healthy scratch once Pospisil is back.

As for Bean in the lineup instead of Pachal, I don't see it as that much of a downgrade, and it won't be the difference between winning and losing.

IMO Huska has a track record of putting young guys in positions to succeed. He did it with Zary and Pospisil, by playing them with Kadri. He did it with Coronato by playing him with Backlund, and he's doing it now with Honzek. Klapka was a staple onzthe 1st line to finish last season. Meanwhile, Gridin was also given an opportunity on the Kadri line to start, but Kadri is struggling right now. Parekh was given reps with Bahl in preseason, before they decided to shelter him on the 3rd pairing.

Always given, never earned. The new Flames slogan, opposite from the Bob Hartley one of the past.

Except he is spitting facts with his post. It is a joke to send him down over so many of these other players.

At this point it wouldn't even surprise me if they send Parekh back to junior after 9 games. If they are gonna suck I'd love them to let the kids play and suck. Miro has no trade value, he is a defender who can't defend but was a forward but also can't score. Keeping him on the roster is so odd, just bite the bullet and cut your losses.

The best thing for him is to play big minutes. The jump from the q to pro hockey is massive
No issues with him going down
Sending Miro down instead does nothing. He’s not competing for a seat in the press box. He needs playing time and tons of it.
He’s also not competing with guys like Kirkland or Lomberg. He needs top 6 minutes and pp1 deployment

Yeah.. Lets ruin prospects by rushing them.... great rebuild idea.

Gridin provides offence, but has a lot of other stuff to work on. Going down for a part or all of a season will be useful.

Team did the Same with Coronato and now he is doing well

Too many mid veteran forwards is what led to this.

Huberdeau had to draw back in.

Gridin should play top 6, at least top 9. But is the greenest player in that pool and the one who is also waivers exempt.

You also don't want to have him tag along in the press box.

So let him take the same path as Coronato.

But while hes down there cooking, trade or waive a couple of these players who arent moving the needle or a part of the future here.

They're going to have to make a lot more space in the next two seasons with all the 23/24/25 draft prospects that will be pushing.

Gridin mostly played on the Kadri line. I definitely liked some of the chances Gridin was generating, but for one reason or another that line has been outplayed through 4 games.

Gridin - Kadri - Coronato
2 GF, 4GA, - 2, 11SF, 21SA, 34.4SF%, 43.5CF%, 35.7xG%, 1.68xGF/60, 3.03xGA/60.

Right now I hope Gridin lights the AHL up, and is called up either after the deadline, or to start next year.

That line will benefit massively from a Huberdeau return. Kadri in particular, who likes to finish plays himself.

I thought Gridin would have stayed up before Honzek in the couple games I’ve seen.

Well they didn't even use him correctly. Gridin should have been on PP1 instead of Farabee... lol

The next time we call him up we should change his pronunciation to Grid Dean!
