If it helps you feel better.. they are on pace for 32 points

As long as we’re not one of the top teams missing the playoffs (again), I’m fine with it.

Either make it… or better yet emphatically don’t.

Good thing Skinner gave us a win so we’re not 0-5!

You guys are nuts.

1. Flames will win a ton of meaningless games after TDL to seal 15th place.

2. NHL draft hates the Flames.

Flames continue to be both bad and boring.

The games are legitimately hard to watch so far.

It does seem like the flames consistently struggle with zone entries. They so rarely generate odd man rushes in the form of 3-on-2’s or 4-on-3’s. Alternatively, they seem to allow lots of odd man rushes the other way. It could be players out of sync or it could be a system issue. It doesn’t help that the team’s passive defence in their own zone leads to long stretches in their own zone. By the time they get the puck, all the players on the ice need a line change. Hence it becomes a case of dumping the puck in without puck pursuit.

Lol damn. Probably will be a whole lot worse before it gets better.

I am okay going 4-78-0 as long as the rest of the wins for the year are all against the Coilers. And of course if Bettman rigs the F out of the McLottery for Calgary because "shiny new building" and "McSuperstars BOA" reasons.

Good or bad, my advice to everyone is to just enjoy the ride. The results this team puts out is not really worth getting too worked up over IMO as we're still not close to being in our contention window. They're certainly trying out there, so that and the growth of the kids is what I'm going to try to focus on.

Personally, the only thing I'm really disappointed in thus far to start the season is Wolf's stats, as I feel for the kid knowing how much pressure he puts on himself. But him having a sophomore slump (should this continue) and the team overall getting poor results at the same time may just be a blessing in disguise.

Your constant defence of the flames makes me think you don’t have a gag reflex

Tends to happen when you're constantly playing games on obscenely short rest. And missing one of your best players the entire time.

The schedule gets a lot easier after this month. Hang in there.

Cooley, great battle. I'm glad at least one Flame showed up.

I'm ready for Gridin to draw back into the lineup. Not only that, but I would love to see a Wrangler called up on D, Brzustewicz maybe?

Kadri with another slow start to the season. 2 years ago, he didn't show up until November. Hopefully Hubby fixes that line when he's back.

Andersson, Weegar, Bahl. These guys are the life blood of the team. Coleman and Kadri also played with intensity but had no support.

Now that I have said something nice, I donèt feel as bad about unleashing on Zary. WTF was that game. He played like he was scared of the puck. Absolutely no compete to keep pucks in the right direction. No execution when he had space. If you want to succeed in the NHL you need to battle. If I were Huska Id let him sit out the next one. The team needs him.

The Flames don’t believe in drafting at the top, so the top of the draft doesn’t believe in the Flames.

All it takes is a small leap of faith from the Flames.

5 games in 8 nights, 4 of which were a team's home opener, 2 back-to-backs, 1 afternoon game, travel before all but 1 game.

It all gets easier from here... Well, maybe after Saturday night in Vegas.
