That was alot of fun. "Stop raping, ser!" Actually made me laugh out loud. The theme song fake out was great. Loved the down to earth setting, the world felt alive and full

My wife and I both groaned when the theme kicked in, so that #### hit us hard. Had to pause for a sec to congratulate the perfect comedic timing.

I love the Dunk and Egg tales more than the main series or Fire and Blood. They're just so charming.
Love Dunk the Lunk so fracking much.
I read somewhere that GRRM gave them outlines for like 5 or 7 of the other novellas too. So we'll maybe even see more than just the three that are out so far!
If anyone is on the fence, and you like A Knight's Tale, I'd suggest you watch it. They have some stuff in common. Sadly arena rock isn't one of them.

Never read the books so I was coming into this fresh and I loved it. I think this main character, the actor, everything was great. The crap part was just amazing timing lol.
"I'm not sad" as he literally looks like he's on the verge of tears.
That part was awesome.

So good.
Lighter fare and a smaller scope but still in the ASOIAF universe. Charming is a good way to describe it. I am getting the Knight's Tale parallels.

I thought E1 was pretty good. It was a little disjointed and kind of thematically all over the place but you could see where it was trying to go.
This is a show that needs some time to find it's feet, but I think they've got the right idea and, the actor playing Dunk is really doing his best. He seems like a bit of a slam-dunk. A little too much ass...but hey, what can ya do? Work is work. He's a Hedge Knight.

I watched this after the game last night, my thought was it's basically the plot of A Knights Tale but boring. I'll probably give it a couple more episodes but at the moment Heath Ledger did it better.

I'm a bit concerned the main guy isn't up to it. It's true that Game of Thrones plucked some unknown but talented actors and made them stars, but he really wasn't anything special in episode 1.
In terms of finding its feet, there are only five episodes left in the season, not a lot of runway.
Egg was the only good part IMO.

"Dunk the Lunk, thick as a castle wall."
That's the type of character he is. Big and strong but not particularly bright and he is wildly out of his element here.
With that sort of character, it's always tough to tell if it's a good actor playing a dumb guy, or if it is just a dumb guy.
