I have no idea how Miromanov didn't get waived during this training camp.

He would be my first choice too- he was highly regarded as a prospect a few years ago, and is only 24.

Imagine what random Flames fans would say about Cooley

Sogaard, Daws, Kahkonen. In that order. Hopefully the make a claim just to really light the fires of the two backups they're going to roll with. DiPietros name alone gives me the Willies. So I'd pass on that, especially if their fanbase is saying pretty much "meh, whatever".

Stats back me up? He was the best goalie in the AHL last season...but we prefer someone with worse stats (.800s in the AHL) because somebody on reddit says he has a bad glove hand.
I'm also certain members of the other players fan bases will say "meh whatever" because that's what fans do. Some will say the sky is falling and some will say he was a bum anyway...like with Solo.

He is the most likely goalie to get claimed here, my opinion likely aligns with NHL GMs. Lets see.

D Henry Thrun is an interesting name, although there’s reason he’s on waivers I suppose. He had a brilliant college career with excellent numbers, but seems to be settling in to a more solid two-way performer with good puck-moving ability and smarts. His skating is up to par these days, and he’s 6’2”.

No room on the Flames though…

Grundstrom traded to Philly and immediately placed on waivers.

Makes no sense that those two didn't get waived.

I wonder if it is because he is injured and can't be waived.

Unless there are injuries, Flames still have 24 players, and only Gridin can be sent down without waivers

Trades happen around this time too. Not saying it'll happen but it could.

Any one of DiPietro, Daws, or Stevenson please. We need a better backup. I think DiPietro would be most ideal.

Flames should claim Dipietro, Daws , Sogaard or Kahkonen

I would absolutely be in on Daws. He's a far more reliable option to back up Wolf than anyone currently in our system.

Upon further consideration I think Daws is the safe choice. Wolf will eat up (pun) the bulk of starts, so you just need someone who has fully developed with some experience who can be a steady presence for those 20 or so starts.

The less of a gamble the better.
