Still very early but MH still looks like the best team in the division.

The game on Wednesday night vs. the Oil Kings is an early season benchmark.

Tigers defeat the dirty greasy Oil Kings 5-2 tonight in the Hat with the help of two empty netters.
This guy below is Noa Ta'amu and was taking cheap shots all game long.

Yeah, the Tigers look good so far and will probably continue to get better as all the new faces up front get more accustomed to one another.
I'm gonna say it one last time (maybe lol) but just imagine McKenna, Ritchie and Lindstrom on this roster. Probably winning 50+ regular season games without breaking a sweat.

Defensively, the Tigers are still very strong and if Switzer can provide the same type of goaltending he did last season (if not even a bit better), I think the Tigers are going to be in pretty good shape. Obviously, they are not as strong offensively, but WillieD might be able to add during the season or at the trade deadline to bolster the lineup.

Tigers had their 4 game winning streak snapped in Calgary by the Hitmen last night, but bounce back with a 5-0 win over Portland tonight as Cruz Chase records the shutout. 6-2 after 8 games, team is playing some nice hockey.
Edit: My bad, it was Carter Casey who recorded the shutout for the Tabbies last night, the WHL box score has it wrong.

The Hitmen have traded goalie Anders Miller to Everett this morning for draft picks.

I watched the Tigers vs. Hitmen game on Friday night, Eric Tu was very good between the pipes for Calgary.

Tigers just now squeak out a 3-2 win over Spokane in a rematch of the 2025 WHL Championship series. Jordan Switzer was excellent between the pipes late in the 3rd period.

Yikes, just saw the Hitmen blew a 6-1 lead vs the lowly Hurricanes and lost 7-6 in extra time.
Everett looks like a juggernaut once again. That org is so well run.
PA looks like the team to beat in the Eastern division, imagine if Mrsic hadn't flown the coop for the NCAA.

Just an ugly 2nd half of the game for the Hitmen. It wouldn't surprise me if there are more games like this for them. Playing 5 rookie defensemen is not ideal.

Cayden Lindstrom recorded his 1st NCAA goal last night for Michigan State and it was a beauty.

I also noticed Noah Kosick is off to a hot start in Swift. He was kind of a gift that fell from the hockey heavens for the Hitmen, kind of puzzling that they traded him.

Just got tickets for the Tigers - Royals game tonight at the Save-on-Foods Memorial Centre in Victoria, both teams have lost significant star power from last season, but junior hockey is still a great watch in person.

Well, it was an entertaining game even though the Tigers came out on the short end of a 5-4 score tonight versus the Royals. I thought it was a rather sloppy effort from Medicina Hat overall, passes weren't clicking and they gave up several odd-man rushes tonight. Royals played a good game and were fully deserving of the two points tonight.

Back-to-back losses to start this west coast trip for the Tigers. There appears to be a lot of parity throughout the league if you take out Everett and PA who appear to be the class of the Dub at the moment.

Tigers get their first win on their BC road trip and snap a two game losing streak with a 6-3 win over the Prince George Cougars. Refs played a major factor in tonight's game as the Tigers were up 4-1 and then PG had an extended 5-on-3 with a couple of very soft calls. They cut the lead to 4-3, but the Tigers scored two empty netters to salt it away.

Tigers got into late penalty trouble last night versus Kamloops and a regulation win turned into an OT loss versus the Blazers.
