Mikkleson is a great analyst. Hopefully she gets opportunity to fill in for Hrudey for some games on TV. But she's really good in that role. No reason to give her hosting duties. I think she would be under-utilized in that role.

A couple of observations: Seems like Bahl - Andersson is going to be the 1st pairing on opening night. Parekh will play with one of Weegar, Hanley and Bean to start. I think it will be Bean in training camp. Klapka is penciled in the bottom 6. Zary gets the first crack with Huberdeau and Kadri.

Poirier is likely headed on waivers since he's starting in group 3.

I like Honzek(#29), and Kerins(#6) rocking big boy numbers.

What’s the deal with Brisson? He has to go through the draft again, or can he be signed?

I wish Battaglia and King were getting more time with the NHL groups...but they have a lot of bodies so I get it.

She may be a good analyst but I couldn’t listen to her for a full game. I don’t think she has the right voice for it.

Was hoping someone would claim #19. I have a Tkachuk jersey to rename.

For Christ's sake, don't saddle Parekh with Jake Bean. That pairing will absolutely bleed goals. Jake Bean should go on waivers, he sucks.

If Parekh can't outplay Hanley he's going to be with Bean or Pachel. Not much other options.

Bean was solid last year imo

There's a window to sign him (I think before the end of camp) before he re-enters the draft. The Flames did this once with a prospect named Nick Schneider a few years ago.

What? Bean was terrible. He got caught on the opposition's blue line so many times it wasn't funny.

I thought Bean did okay for a #6/7D. I'd argue he even exceeded expectations when paired with Weegar for a stint.

Also, I was just guessing it was Bean to start, it could just as well be
Hanley - Parekh
Bean - Weegar

Would that be better?

Cicek - Brzustewicz is the only sure pairing to start that group.

Bean - Pachal was our best third line by a long shot. Analytical he was the best out of all the 3rd pairing options by a substantial amount.

Seems like you're just fixating on a few mistakes that someone like Andersson probably made twice as many of.
