I remember watching Kuznetsov at the penticton tourney 2 seasons ago and thinking he and klapka were the 2 best players on the flames team.
He seemed smooth and in control. Big guy too. I hope he sticks this year. One more reason to dump Andersson.

Going with Zarubin again. It's difficult to get a feel for a prospect that is playing in Russia, especially a goalie, but there are a few people that think he may end up being the best goalie drafted in 2024.

I said I would vote Carter King (Tacoboy) as soon as Sergeev was gone. I'm a man of my word.

Weegar was drafted, albeit 7th round. Even he was a regular for Florida at 24.
I know that NJ weren't always a fan of him, but I think him coming back in the Markstrom trade there were a lot of people that were happy. I don't think that would have been the case if he was universally thought of as a 5-6.
Solonov is the same age as Bahl (25), who has put in 150 NHL games. Kuznetsov is a year younger and still looking for something more than his cup of coffee at the NHL.
Regarding Andersson, he had his initial prospect camp where he looked like a guy that just rolled up to the other guys from the corndog booth at the stampede. I don't think at any time people people thought he was a waste of a pick. He got his first game the next year and a dozen more the following before becoming a regular. Not sure he is a good example of a late developing Dman.
I think it is a stretch to point at the model of late developing Dmen.

I’m pretty high on jamieson. I think he is a sneaky good prospect who plays for us. I went with kuznetsov.

Not going to lie, I didn't know much about Jamieson other than he was part of the Lindholm trade. Little tidbits that you hear about him, like finishing at the top during the fitness make you raise your eyebrow. I honestly haven't seen him play a game but from what I have a read a decently sized shut down defenseman that likes to hit. Hopefully he has a good year in Denver.

Aidan Lane. People are going to be surprised by how good he is in a few years. This year’s Aydar Suniev, and one of my favourite Flames picks from this year’s draft.

Who would you have gone with if you weren't high?
