I do find it amusing that after Parekh, who I think is on his own ledge, the next ledge of players are really intriguing and can be shuffled around based on how you feel that day. Went with Brz today but now reading about some other prospects I could have easily made a case and put Gridin, Potter, Battagilia or Basha here.

Went Gridin but I like Potter too. I like Hunter as well but have my doubts for reasons I can’t explain.

Went with Brz. I just see top-4 RHD written all over him.

I think Mews might be in this group as well and he's not even getting talked about. I also like Suniev.

It's also why I'm bullish on Cullen Potter as one of our higher prospects.

You are right, there are a few Dmen prospects that get a little overshadowed by Parekh, but in their own right they would be right up there.

That’s one thing that I learned this year. This is a kid who would call me to watch video. I didn’t have to chase him. He was always texting me or calling me, usually on Sunday evening after the weekend games, and saying, ‘Can we watch film?’ And you love that. You don’t get that with everybody.
“When you have a kid who wants to get better, wants to learn and is very open to the areas that you’re trying to dive in on, it’s a pleasure to work with a guy like that. We have high expectations for Matvei. I know he has high expectations, as well.”

Just have a good feeling about this kid

If any Flames prospect has the possibility to supernova it's Cullen Potter, which is an odd thing to say about a player who is already first rounder.

Can't go wrong with BRZ, Potter, Gridin or Honzek in this group IMO. There's some promising depth being built.

I'd throw Basha, Mews, and Battaglia there as well.
It's very exciting how quickly Conroy has filled the cupboards.

You guys are sleeping on Basha.
Kid looked like an old pro during preseason last year and that was with a brutal ankle injury.

I appreciate the love that many have for Honzek but other than raw tools there is literally nothing in the CV to make you think he’s going to be a high end guy. Like Honzek, Gridin has size/skating/shot, but is a much more cerebral guy who has high end production over multiple years in different leagues, so went with him here.
Thought about Bruz, Battaglia, Potter, Basha, Mews and Morin, but will probably rank them in that order moving forward.

Voted for Gridin.
Likely go Brz, Potter, Basha and Battaglia with my next 4.
Not nearly as high on Honzek as many here it seems.

I like him alot. not his fault but I guess he is being 'penalized' a bit (in my thought process) by the lost season in a year when so many prospects had great seasons...he's certainly in the mix
