I think Sabres would have interest in Farabee.
Similar to Tuch in that they really valued the upstate New York kid.
Think Farabee and Tuch are friends too and they want Tuch to sign long term.

replacing Ras with Byram on a new long-term deal would solve a number of issues. Getting rid of the Ras trade/contract headache, shifting talent from RHD to LHD, locking up a 24 year old who could fit our timeline.
all for it, if the acquisition cost makes sense.

I wonder if one of Zary or Frost are involved in a trade with the Sabres. It looks like they want young players who can step in now based on the recent moves

That would be very good for the Flames too.
Buffalo needs grit and wants players not prospects.

I might be in the minority here but I would keep Frost over Zary if I had to trade one of them.

The cost is the big question mark. Very interested in what that is going to look like.
If we land Byram then I would have regret in signing Hanley. That left side would be too full for any of our prospects to get a look.

Keep them both and find another way

I get everyone wants 3 RHD and 3 LHD, but if a LHD deserves to be on the team...you make it work. Very few teams have 3 RHD

Zary out and Byram in.
Ras out and picks in.
That'd be a great bit of work in my eyes.
I don't disagree with your assessment.
Frost is 3 years older than Zary, Byram is 4 years younger than Andersson, and the picks are needed ammo.

Sign Pelts if they have to send Zary or Farabee

I am ok with the kids playing more minutes on the Wranglers. Let them percolate down there, D men can take longer to develop. Hanley at his cost is great insurance too for injury.

If Ras, Frost and Zary could land the Flames Byram and Rossi that would be interesting

Flames have too much cap space. Waive Bean and send him down if needed.

LA is probably the front runner I’d think.
