Baffin Island!
Maybe the Polar Bears can put together a squad!

Calgary and Edmonton. Not in the U.S.; Trump will still be office, if he’s still alive (even if he’s dead).

Apparently they will be announcing the host cities after the Olympics, would love Calgary and Edmonton to host. I believe we also hosted the 1984 Canada Cup with Edmonton so it's been a while.

Calgary and Seattle makes a ton of sense. Utah's building will be better for hockey than it is right now, but it's still not great.

Utah is in our time zone though, right?
Slight pro there to have both arenas in the same clockland.

It’s gonna be something like DC and Stockholm. Zero chance it’s Calgary or Edmonton.

Well, Prague is the largest rink by capacity in any of the main* Euro hockey countries, and second largest if Germany is included. So Mtl or Bos & Prague.
4,000 more potential tix sold per game than Stockholm/Helsinki.
*Russia excluded atm.

The new hotel in Stampede Park is slated to open in 2028, but I suspect that's after the World Cup of Hockey. If I had my druthers, I'd say 2032 is a more realistic spot for Calgary considering a lot of the area construction should be done by then.

The NHL will want to grow the game and have maximum exposure in big markets. Calgary won't be in consideration. I'd guess a big US city like New York, Chicago, or L.A.. In Europe, I think a factor will be the disposable income of the locals. Czech is a poorer European country which would hurt their chances. Sweden, Finland or Germany seem more likely.

Do you think we'd get a draft or all star game before 32?

The European city in Germany would be nice.
A growing hockey market and something different than the usuals. I don't know the arena situations, but plenty of big cities that could host well from a municipal standpoint.
