Nope. Ted Lasso Season 4.

Ted Coaches the LA Kings.

He's been a football coach. A soccer coach. Now he takes on hockey!

And his son has grown up and they have a Golden Retriever that can skate and amazingly...play hockey!

Call me up Hollywood. I can do this all day.

We really should have gotten Brandt Clarke before this day arrived

only heard a part of the Daily Faceoff podcast, but Frank Seravalli said Marc Bergevin is a candidate, and is already an advisor to the Kings Hockey Ops. He is also a candidate for the Isles GM vacancy

Kings should hire him. The Habs are just at the tail end of Bergevin's terrible contracts.

Well...I wouldn't consider that so much as a 'laughing matter' but okay. I'm assuming he's given up goaltending and rollerblading then?

Wasn't he at a ceremonial puck drop not that long ago?

Bergevin wasn't a terrible GM. He made some ballsy moves over the years and a lot of them worked out well. You know in LA he'd make a splash.

LOL, his last trade as GM was getting Christian Dvorak for a 1st and 2nd round pick.

I could go on, but that's enough right there to get any GM fired.

The trade to acquire PLD and then flip him for Kuemper was pretty bad. Kuemper had a great season but shat the bed in the playoffs, so that's not looking great either.

Bring back Sutter in a GM role.

Then Conroy just sits by the phone and waits for it to ring...

If anything can motivate Sutter to return, it just might be the opportunity to work with Trevor Lewis again.

Kings are going to be another weak team in our crap division. Good news all around!

I actually thought the Kings were heading in the right direction. They would have gotten to round to if it wasn't for that boneheaded Byfield play.

The Oilers make anyone look bad. Kemper contract is a lot shorter

Well yeah but it was Rob Blake that signed PLD to the terrible contract in the first place.

He made a gamble in getting PLD and lost and tried to chase his lost money with Kuemper. He didn't end up empty handed but he was never going to fully recoup his losses but I think he did good to get Kuemper for PLD. Kuemper has done well in the past and isn't a terrible goalie. At that point PLD just played himself out of 3 teams. He didn't want to play in Columbus and didn't want to play in Winnipeg either. Why give up so much to get him?

Basically Rob Blake gave up Vilardi, Iafallo, Kupari and a 2nd for Kuemper. That's a lot for Kuemper. It was also a lot for PLD to begin with. I think Blake was lucky to get Kuemper for PLD.

Treliving needs to walk Marner out of Toronto and then quit and head to LA.
