Helley is developing a reputation as a playoff choke artist to the point where even a number of Jet fans are starting to call it out.

Which is interesting, because most people outside of WPG have already known Hellebuyck turns into a fraud when April rolls around. This year is like Exhibit D I think.

I wonder, why that is? He’s probably the worst playoff goalie i’ve ever seen, or the biggest drop off his ”regular” game. Does he have a glaring weakness the playoff opponents exploit ? In regular season you face different teams / shooters / systems every game, thats clearly when he excels, so I’m just speculating, but maybe he has a tell, or he is just a head case, dunno

A pet peeve of mine also, as many simply refuse to believe that 3 "finalists" are not picked and those 3 voted on.

What are you guys on about, lol.
They are literally finalists. Regardless of the selection criteria, they are the three members of the final group.
Once a winner is announced, instead of three finalists, there will be one winner and one runner-up. The third person will remain a finalist.

Well, no, their points is, the vote is done. They are not "Finalists" they are the three players who finished atop of the voting.

"Finalist" implies there's "finals". There aren't. There's one vote. Every eligible player at the beginning of the year is technically a finalist in that vote.
There is no magic to a "final group" of three. That's just how they want to make the announcement. It would change nothing if there were two or four.

Had a good system in front of him to support that though.
All just makes the season Wolf had more impressive in context.

Good luck to all the nominees, of course, we know that Wolf will own the Vezina trophy like Orr owned the Norris.
