Really hope they are ok, please update us when you hear.
I've checked in on some clients and colleagues from the community and so far everyone I know is ok.
Can't imagine what the families are going through right now.

A similar incident happend in China just a few months ago where the driver drove through a exercise park and killed 35 people. The reason - he was upset with his divorce.... And also, a few city officials were forced to resign because of this

The police chief just did an update on the news, so yes, it was updated I guess.
I don't know if the first part you're mentioning was a direct quote from VPD.
Edit for exact statement:

They are fine, they didn't go and all their Filipino friends were working last night. They usually go to the Surrey festival so that's why I immediately checked on them.
