They're 6-6 in their last 12 and played 7 teams who'll miss the playoffs plus the Canadiens and Devils who have the two lowest point totals of teams currently in the playoffs.

Prior to that they did win 6 straight, but of late they've been mediocre albeit without Brady which is certainly notabke. Cozens had 3 goals and 10 points in his first 6 games as a Sen, but only 4 assists in his last 10.

Buffalo is the opposite where right after the deadline they lost a few in a row but are 9-3 in their last 12. Enough to take them from like pick 3 to pick 10...Imagine the outrage if the Flames pulled a stunt like that.

xGF is a 5on5 stat. It’s a glorified plus minus. Tells you little about an individual player.

I am no Cozens-lover, but suggesting BUF is doing well because he's gone is laughable. Just as saying OTT is doing well because of him is - they're both empty arguments. But that's PW's schtick
