I watched that ad with a great deal of disgust, Martin basically accused the military of being disloyal to Canada and the constitution at the same time that he accused Harper of staging some kind of coup.

I can't be anymore disgusted with the Liberal's and thats surprising because I am.

He not only insulted the intelligence of the nation, because anyone that buys an ad like that has to be ######ed.

But he's insulted every man and woman thats put on the uniform and put thier lives on the line for this country, while defending the constitution that Paul Martin finds so precious.

And what really shocks me is this ad even got put into rotation, because Martin himself has to approve that, and he can't possibly be that stupid can he?

Martin and the Liberal's are proving to be the perfect idiots in this campaign. How can anyone trust this band of idiots with any kind of power. The only hidden agenda that the Liberal's have is that they're insulting.

Did anyone else catch Mike Duffy go off on the lib pundit (Peter Donolo I think) talking about that ad? (CTV newsnet's post-debate coverage. Probably watched by me and.....Mike Duffy's mom)

Donolo suggested they shouldn't be talking about it, and Duffy went off on him, even saying Donolo tried to intimidate him off air and he wouldn't stand for it. Funny stuff.

I'll be estatic if the Liberal's fall, and the worse the loss the better. That party needs a major gutting, its lost its way and become arrogant.

First on the unemployment line will be the idiot running the campaign followed shortly by Martin's retirement announcement and thr triumphant return of Darth Chretian

Anyway, Canadians in general do not respond well to negative campaigning (the 2004 election is an anomoly to that), but I fail to see how the Liberals are doing anything unfair here.
Really huh?

I ask you one simple question.

What have the Conservatives attacked Paul Martin on that isn't true?

I will give you one simple observation.

The Liberals have blatently made up at least two lies, such as the Harpers Cons placing military in the streets of Canada. That ad has been pulled.

However, they are still running one that questions/suggests that Harper is receiving funding from US right wingers (laughable at best).

Quote:
"They have money. Maybe they helped. We just don't know," says the ad. Under the Canada Elections Act, accepting political donations from anyone who is not a Canadian citizen or permanent resident is illegal.

"No Americans have funded our campaign or anything we do," Reynolds said. "It's an absolute lie and the prime minister should apologize to Canadians for trying to bring Americans into this election."
Lies, deceit, theft, entitlement......could the Liberals STINK any more than they do?

So is that still "fair"?

It was actually John Duffy vs Mike Duffy. It wasn't simply a Liberal pundit (that is actually probably Mike Duffy!)...it was John Duffy a liberal strategist and tactician.

You may have heard of John Duffy a few weeks ago when on CTV's Question Period he backed Reid's popcorn and beer comment.

I think because of this ad that was leaked and pulled will the effect of the other ads will be blunted.

As well some articles are saying Martin dropped the ball in the french debate.
