In my mind all games are equally important. It's nice that they are in the chase and it is good for the room. We need to be better to be in the playoffs next year.

I was firmly in that bottom five club when the season began.

Should be a fun team. One side is very talented and must be a heavy favourite to win tonight. The other side is fighting for their lives and have spent an entire season doing so, essentially. This should be a fantastic game to watch. If they can grab the win tonight, things become a heck of a lot brighter again! Really hoping they get the bounces this game, or the calls, or whatever else it will take. Flames won't go down easy tonight in the very least, that's for sure. Can't wait for it.

Unless he is their Dustin Wolf .... over the years, it feels like the Flames have made a lot of rookie goalies look great in their first game. I think I even remember a shutout many years ago.
But this Flames team is building a better culture! There's hope!

Not Schmid's first game, played a fair bit for NJ.
Otherwise I agree, hope we get one on him early or these situations they tend to go invincible-mode
