He added about 25 lbs since being drafted (still 6' 2", went from 190 to 215 lbs), which is a great sign. Physically, he might not need too much time in the minors. Hopefully just a little to get him up to speed.

Great news!! Would be fantastic to see him in action this season, hoping he can have a Coronato-like impact with that shot of his. If you can score, you're hired!
6'2, 215lb.. jeeze that doesn't hurt his chances of being a good pro either.
Hopefully they've got another Matt Coronato type. He was just as productive in his second year in a stronger conference. I only saw goal highlights this season but the year he was drafted I watched a few scouting videos on him and he was really good with the Nadeau brothers. Not just a shooter, he really struck me as very offensively-aware player with high-end skill.
He'll almost certainly need time in the AHL but what a great opportunity ahead for him with a franchise desperate for offense.
$923,,000 avv so does that mean he gets $923,000 for the last 8 games and the cap is prorated since he’s burning 1 year?
He gets the full signing bonus up front, which will be about 10% of the cap hit. Then, he'll get paid for the final 8ish games once he joins the roster, which will be roughly another 10% of the total.
A little under $200,000 for about 2 weeks of work isn't too bad.
