Saw the Mariners and A's in Seattle last Friday. I was surprised how low the attendance was for their opening weekend home series. Nice stadium though.

Nobody likes watching the Mariners not score runs.

Padres and Dodgers yet to be defeated. 7-0 and 8-0 respectively, both teams beating up on the Braves.

That's a really tough roadtrip to start the season...

The White Sox are winning about 10% more than they did last year.

Giants are 5-1 and already behind the 7-0 Padres and 8-0 Dodgers. Tough room.

Diamondbacks are a pretty good team as well.

I think you could make a case the NL West is the new AL East.

Tough time to be a Rockies fan...

Scratch that. Now 2-9 on the season with this 5 game losing streak. I hope they find a way to lose 130 plus this year. Them and the Rockies might not win 60 games between the two of them. It's like they think they're NBA teams.

Feels like we don't bang on the Rockies enough for being atrocious. Maybe it's cause no one cares, but they suck quite badly...

2022 - 68 wins
2023 - 59 wins
2024 - 61 wins

Might be lucky to get past 60 this year.

I feel bad for the Diamondbacks fans. The Rockies aren't even trying but Arizona is 9-7 and are only 4th in the deadly AL West.

If they were in a weaker division (like say AL East) that would be tied for the lead.

In fact they'd only be 1/2 game behind the AL penant leader. It looks like the NL is quite a bit stronger this year.

Edited to add: some good series in the NL this week. Cubs/Padres and Phillies/Giants are both a series where each team is at least 0.600

What the hell happened in that Cubs DBs game?

2-1 Cubs going into the bottom of the 7th… then 21 runs in the next inning and a half for a 13-11 Cubs win. Arizona scored 10 runs in the 8th and lost.

Well the Rockies split their doubleheader yesterday...so thst tarnished their 3-17 start...now 4-17...pacing for like 31 wins and only 1 win behind the Whitesox who are 5-17.

I also saw that Portland has plans to use a jock tax from players who are not playing there yet to build a new stadium for a team that does not exist. I think its based on award us a team and we'll build this stadium and make players pay for it.

Judge may actually hit .400 this year. And set records for slug and OPS. I don't know what happened for him in the last 3 years but there has never been a better stretch in baseball.
