Yeah, no doubt, it's not hard to understand why people think Cozens could bloom away from there. Reinhart, Montour, O'Reilly, Eichel...

Eichel and O’Reilly were good players not sure how they are comparisons to Cozen.

Both players had issues in Buffalo, especially where their leadership was questioned. Both left Buffalo, and now each have a Cup. FFS it wasn't saying Cozens was going to turn into Jack Eichel. Just that there is a pattern of Sabres players struggling in various aspects in Buffalo, and excelling elsewhere.

You don't have to turn everything into a Cozens slam. Even if you don't understand it, it's not hard to think that some teams might see an opportunity there.

Reinhart is perhaps a better example.

In Buffalo he was a ~20 goal and ~50 point guy. Then in Florida he turns into a ~80 point guy and puts up a few 30 goal seasons with a 57 goal season too.

Cozens could easily follow the Reinhart path of being okay in Buffalo and then playing up to his draft pedigree somewhere else.

I can put together a whole team of ex-Sabres currently playing in the league that's easily better than the current Sabres

Rodrigues - Eichel - Reinhart
Skinner - Middlestadt - Kane
Compher - O'Reilly - Armia
Carrier - - M. Foligno

Montour - Zadorov
Ristolainen - McCabe
Kulikov - Myers
E. Johnson

Ullmark
Johansson

Can add Cozens to that too. And Taylor Hall. Olofsson is having an okay season for Vegas. Girgensons could be a 4th liner. Bogosian still playing a role on a playoff team.

Hagel was drafted but Buffalo but wasn't signed.
