Nothing like being kicked by the opposition and officials simultaneously when you're down.
I don’t like this. Call it fairly, no favors for unskilled or lazy teams.

Well on the bright side, they did win the first game of the road trip so they’re ahead of where I thought they’d be

Makes me wonder if the reported near-deal was aborted because of an NTC being invoked by someone like Coleman.

It sounds like it was a prospect that the Flames don't want to trade. Unless that was another deal.

Except a number of teams are beneficiaries of timely calls and breaks when they're down.

Flames didn't deserve favors here, but neither do some of these teams that get them.

We've been short changed by the officials an inordinate amount more than we've been helpful by them this season.

I'd like to see the breaks even out a touch.

Buffalo has Calgary’s offer for Cozens. It’s fair and does involve roster players and picks.

Backlund hasn’t been approached to waive but Conroy has engaged the camp of all players with trade protection.

Rasmus Andersson has been asked if there is any changes to his 6 team NTC.

Flames have engaged every team on Blake Coleman’s 10 Team
pre approved trade list.

Kadri Camp and Flames have dialogue. I’m told it’s Toronto or Colarado no thanks at this moment.

Flames deep in negotiations with Zary, Wolf and Bahl.
Could this explain the effort today? If 3 of the vets with trade protection have been told they're being shopped that might hurt their focus.

Whatever trade they were on the verge of making, they probably should've made it.

This team seems to need a shot in the arm every time it goes out on the road for more than a game.

Awful road club.

Men against boys. Vladar looked great. Feel for him.

Stay the course Conroy. Team is not ready to hang with true contenders.

If this prospect was anyone from the 2024 draft, no. Honzek? Bye.

Pretty disappointing effort, except for Vladdy.

Vladar played like a goddamned Champ today, if there are no other positives to take out of this game, Vladar stood up when it was time to be counted.

If he'd had a bad game tonight it would have been an embarrassment. Yeah, he got no goal support, but he stood on his head when it mattered.

Thats why he's here. A game like that could crush a rookie. Vladar played it like a pro. He got little to no help and he soldiered on anyways.

Loss aside, that was Vladar's game. Its not like the pop-gun offence troubled Bob all that much.

A waste of a great game from Vladar. I felt optimistic about this road trip after the Caps game but that clearly didn't carry over....

There were actually people on here that thought we were a contender with a trade or 2.

Lmao.

I know that wasn’t a good performance, but the refereeing we get is soul destroying.

A lack of talent on the roster shines through when the effort isn't good.

I was actually expecting a lot more of these types of results by this point of the season.

Frost and Farabee have certainly not been the offensive shot in the arm we hoped for.

Frost has 3 points in 9 games, Farabee just 1.

That puts Frost on a 27 point pace with the Flames, Farabee just 9.

As a team, Calgary has 154 goals scored. Only Nashville with 153 have scored less.

They are also 10th from the bottom in goal differential.

And they are 3 points from drafting 10th.

This not a real playoff team, they are just close because of faltering teams around them.

They are both 2nd to 3rd liners who are inconsistent over their careers.

Anyone who thought they were saving the team was fooling themselves. If anything, they just make us more a mushy middle type team.

Farabee has not looked good at all and I am starting to understand why Philly wanted to dump that contract

He needs to room with Coleman all offseason and learn to play that type of game

Frost I think still has potential to be something. Often mid season trades don't give guys enough time to get rolling that season.

Farabee I'm skeptical might be more likely a buyout candidate than contributor, but I guess if I'm giving Frost some leash then Farabee should get some too.

ANY 2024 prospect? Parekh is the only one in that category for me, everyone else is moveable.
