Oilers are only team I have seen to move the puck from high percentage scoring areas to a player in the worst scoring position in the ice and he shoots (below the circle near the corner to Pissy). He leads the league in goals scored but it’s ridiculous

It was 1-1 in the Capitals-Penguins after twenty minutes. The Capitals simply took over in the second period as it is now 6-2 heading into the third period. Ovechkin has zero points and Crosby has one goal. Hat trick watch for Chychrun as he has two goals. Nedeljkovic was pulled after letting in five goals on fourteen shots.The Capitals are the only team to not have any players to have played in the four nations tournament.

It was a Wild game in Detroit. The Red Wings had a 3-1 lead in the third period and blew it. The Wild came back to win 4-3 in overtime. Johansson with a pair of assists. Fleury was in net for the 1045th time and he is now in second place on the all time games played for a goalie. Martin Brodeur is at the top of that category.

The best HNIC game at 1700h should be the Jets-Blues, the Hellebuyck-Binnington goalie rematch from the four nations tournament. My guess is that it will be a 2-1 overtime final for the Blues and both goalies will be the first and second stars.
