Good point. That is a crazy powerplay.

Konecny is not there so will be interesting to see where he fits in. My guess is he might take Bennett's spot with Hagel and Cirelli.

Hagel is also over a Point per game so not sure he's a grinder. And put Konecny in there too and he's a top line NHL player.

Bennett over a more offensive guy is probably the biggest question mark, especially since it's not like Bennett is amazing defensively either. But he will go hit stuff.

Are people excited for this?

I just can't seem to get up for it.

Hockey really needs a regular World Cup.

How about a Summit Series with Russia again, in September? Canada vs. Evil Empire.

I could be down, but frankly why Hockey can't get their #### shorted is beyond me.

Other sports that don't share global season can figure it out. Hockey has (by and large) the same global season, it should be easier to find a window for a tournament.

Don't forget the biggest key to this PP. 1987 goaltending equipment.

Regular Olympics is far and away the best option

Yeah I am here for that as well.

I was thinking something outside the season might make leagues more interested in accommodating the tournament.

Frankly it is pathetic that there is no regular scheduled national best on best tournament for hockey.

I'm all for that. Only stipulations.

-all proceeds go towards buying drones to kill Russian Soldiers.
- Russian squad has to wear Ukrainian colors and the Ukraine anthem is played instead of the Russian ones.
-Russia has to dress and play Putin at least 10 mins a game.

I'm pretty curious as to how much intensity the players show, especially outside US v Canada. I think it'll be better than the All-Star game but not Olympic level.

But who knows? Without doing the work to check each player, at least a handful of the Canadian team have never worn the maple leaf at senior level.

It'll be Olympic level. Once that jersey goes on, it's full speed. Bennett will hit something hard on his first shift.

Players are also fighting for jobs, this is an audition for the more fringe ones.

What jobs are they fighting for?

Even with that fourth line - who on the roster is auditioning for their job? Seems like a pretty established group..

Hi from Finland!

If you worry about our nation's intensity in this tournament, you're free of worry.

But yeah I agree with that last phrase. Can't wait for the next year's Olympics, especially after I got tickets for both semifinals.

USA lines look pretty solid, but what does Dylan Larkin have to do to cement a spot in the lineup? He's got 50 points on the year. Nelson has 35 and Kreider has 20.
