If the ref's had just called a penalty on Stutzle none of this would have happened.

The Wild should definitely put out a statement supporting Hartman, and point out that they are disappointed in the suspension of a player who intentionally tried to hurt another player by smashing their face.

Maybe not... that would be stupid right...you'd have to be pretty stupid to do something like that right?

It really was one of the dirtier things i've seen in hockey in a long time.

The intent was obvious.

Im with those that are calling for 10, but suspect it will be 8.

Would love to be at the meeting and hear his "reasoning".....cuz there is none.

Gee, I thought it was normal to win a faceoff by smashing the other centre's skull against the ice so hard his helmet pops off. What's the big deal?

Settle down Connor. it just feels like an unnecessary thing.

Repeat offender deserved this.

I'm surprised the NHL did the right thing. Did Parros call in sick and someone else take care of this matter?

Had he done that to a Calgary Flame it would have been a minor for roughing.

Flame would have been given an embellishment penalty.

I hope the league takes their sweet time to reconsider the suspension, much like the Dennis Wideman incident.

Sure, reconsider it. Make it 30 games instead.

Bahahhahaha....what a joke. You really think people are that dumb Hartman you jackass?

Do everyone a favour and quit while you're behind.

From Elliote:

Quote:
2. Ryan Hartman appealed his 10-game suspension. Commissioner Bettman is next on the agenda on the appeal, and he rarely decreases a sentence. A recent exception is Jason Spezza, reduced from six to four games in 2021. But he had a clean record. If Bettman keeps it above six, Hartman can go to an independent arbitrator — where Dennis Wideman and Tom Wilson received reductions.

Unique to this is the 4 Nations break, as this process doesn’t usually happen fast enough to get a player back in the lineup before the original suspension is over. Generally, the NHLPA isn’t crazy about appealing these if they don’t think they can win. One thing I heard about this situation: on-ice officials warned Hartman several times during the Ottawa game that he was in danger of losing control.

I didn't break the rake, I was testing its durability. And then I placed it in the woods because its MADE of wood, and I thought it should be with its family.
