I’ve always thought M Pettersson was mostly bad, kind of like an Ian Cole that always seems to be getting ice but isn’t actually helping teams win hockey games.

Fernstrom was a guy I liked at the draft, he should be an NHLer based on his pre-draft resume and I wouldn’t be surprised if he was a good one. Will be interesting to see him at the u20s next year.

I cannot see this being a smart move for Van but maybe I’ve got a bad read on Pettersson.

Seems like a lot for two upcoming UFAs on a team that doesn't seem likely to make a splash in the playoffs. The Canucks are a weaker team now than they were yesterday, so why give up the asset of the first round pick.
