If it's because he was pouting can't say I blame the coach.
I may be over thinking it in any case, line up could be different tomorrow and Huska is strategizing for this tough back-to-back.

It's definitely not uncommon for a call up to sit and see the game from up above after the initial energy and excitement from the call up fades away a few games in. Let's see how he responds now.

He never played well, looked slow.
Was benched a big chunk of the 2nd and 3rd
I thought there was a chance, he might be sent down

Looking forward to seeing Pelletier on the top line for the whole game. If he can continue playing anything like the last half dozen games or so, he is found money.
The list of guys who are exceeding expectations and having breakout years, is getting pretty crazy - we have an entire lineup of them:
Pelletier - Zary - Coronato
Bahl - Pachal
Wolf
That right there is why the Flames are 10 spots higher in the standings than they were expected to be.

I hate Minnesota - not because of anything they've done, or do, but simply because games against them are boring, with not enough Ws mixed in.

I am interested in the first and third lines. Lomberg and Pospisil on the same line could be fun. It would be great to see Pelletier make the most of this opportunity. He has had some looks with Huberdeau in the past but it is easy to argue this version of Huberdeau has been his best as a Flame and Pelts was a decent point producer in the AHL. Would be great to see him continue to put up some points and solidify his spot in the NHL.

The 4th line is all wrong. Give us a kid line please PLEASE!
Glad to see Lombo promoted. 3rd line might be the story tonight.

Not a fan of those 3rd and 4th lines. Love Lomberg but a 3rd liner he is not.
Takes more than a few minutes of ice time to get up to speed in the NHL. Seems knee jerk to me. Hope the top line can continue to produce as those bottom lines look like they will tread water at best.

I dont know. A line with Lomberg and Posposil? Sharangounspellovic in the middle?
That might be fun? A couple of energetic bash brothers and a skilled shooter. Could be interesting?

Betting a lot of other teams say the exact same thing about the Flames.
Looks like Kaprizov is back. I was hoping he would still be out.

I am just curious how the lines play out. I wouldn't condemn anything Huska is trying right now as he doesn't seem to play favourites - since he has become head coach, I believe every player that has been playing poorly has been scratched/benched.
I do think Pospisil + Lombo can have the makings of becoming really interesting. I do think that Lomberg has some underrated skill, and Pospisil is very solid with and without the puck. I can see those two feeding-off each other as well.
4th line is what it is. At the start of the season, it seemed to be a huge strength as the Flames' "Identity Line". It quickly withered away, and all types of moves have been made, with it rarely looking like a real strength now.

I think it’ll be really really good. Or really really bad.

Zary being out does mess with the lineup. The Flames are really light on skilled forward talent. When one or two are out it becomes a little more glaring.

Those bottom two lines are going to get eaten alive. Hope the Wolf is up to the task.
Not enough youth, and too much leash for Rooney, still. Even a motivated Rooney isn't exactly great. Kerins has much greater upside and can actually help the offense if he's going.

Guessing they are playing Wolf as they probably see this game as being more winnable than the Wpg one.

That 4th line. Woof. Third line not much better in that Lombo shouldn’t be up there (love the guy)
