That something is the Baltimore Ravens.
I'd love the three peat for my team, but they can't match up against Baltimore right now snd I think the Chargers would handle them next week if that's the matchup.
You must at least be somewhat interested in seeing a new Lattimore vs. Evans battle.

Oh totally, I was hyping it on here last week. Lattimore was my favourite Saint since his rookie year in 2017. I love Jayden Daniels too going back to his LSU days, lots of Louisiana connections on the Commandos.
But I think Tampa is going to take them out, they still seem a year or two away from true contention.

The most obvious reverse-jinxer in the thread.

I think Baltimore's yards per play differential, passing effieciency, and ability to completely control the running game on either side of the ball is a bit more compelling than "reverse jinx".
If I was in here saying the Chiefs will win because all year they weren't interested and were waiting for playoffs...you guys would be jumping all over me for being a dumb homer fan basing my assessment on false hope.

Well good news for you is I already said the Chiefs took most of the season off just to crank it up the last few weeks, so I gotcha on that one. As the new Patriots the Chiefs are, as cliched as it is to say, simply winners. They know how to do it. Not always gonna be pretty, but far more often than not it's gonna be wins. I get backing the Ravens, but the things you've said about them applied last year, and in 2019, and it didn't matter. The Ravens are a team that recently seems to find ways to lose games they shouldn't. A huge part of me thinks the Steelers suck and should lose by 24+. Another part of me wouldn't even be slightly surprised to see them win tomorrow.

Recently teams who lost a Conference Championship have had some success in winning it the following season. Both the Lions and Ravens did some things last year that I'm sure they know the effed up. So between really strong statistical profiles and that experience that's why I'd pick them.
Ultimately it's Baltimore, Buffalo, Detroit, KC, and Philly as the teams who could actually win the Superbowl. You could make a case for any of those teams.
I actually backed off a Ravens straight cover this week. With no Zay Flowers that came might end up like 20-12 kind of thing as Pittsburgh likely can key on the run game with the Ravens missing their most dynamic receiver. Was that wise or cowardly...will find out in a few hours. I decided playing under would be the better bet there.
I'll take Chargers to win and cover and under 41.5 to open up. Say 21-13.
I'll go Ravens to cover 9.5 and under 44. Say 20-10 Ravens

Texans 27 Chargers 24 (OT)
Ravens 24 Steelers 9
Bills 31 Broncos 20
Eagles 23 Packers 14
Washington 28 Bucs 26
Vikings 30 Rams 26
I'm picking the Texans cause we still haven't had a real Chargering this year, had a near call against the Bengals, but not the real deal. So my score is of the belief the Chargers are up 24-14 with 7 minutes left and lose. Love Harbaugh as a coach, but he needs a Chargering moment so he can understand what he's up against. Steelers just don't have enough offense and it's 50/50 Pickens pulls an AB and walks off the field. Broncos D gives them a shot, but Bills too much at home. Love's injury hampers their offense enough, and the Eagles D is very good. Washington-Bucs probably the most even game of the weekend. Darnold's performance last week was grim, but still think the Vikings are meaningful better as a team and he'll be better this week.

Vikings over Rams
Bucs over Commandos
Eagles over Packers
Chargers over Texans (really tough call)
Ravens over Steelers
Bills over Broncos
----------------------------------
Lions over Vikings
Eagles over Bucs
Chiefs over Chargers
Bills over Ravens
---------------------------------
Lions over Eagles (have it reversed in my office pool)
Chiefs over Bills
-------------------------------
Chiefs over Lions
We all want Lions vs Bills so bad, that you just know it's not gonna happen...the football gods are a fickle bunch. I went against my gut last year thinking Chiefs would win again but ignored it, not doing that again. Think people are sleeping on them a bit.

Not sure what Stroud was doing there. Nice catch by Leonard. Homeschooling Herberts answer is to do something just as puzzling trying to show across the field.

Texans punting on 4th and six on the Chargers side of the field shows what kind of team they are. You're not going to win in the NFL with that mentality, not in 2025.

A 99 yard drive allowed, with a miracle third and long converted, and another third and long converted for a TD scored? Sounds like Chargering.

Running a one yard route when you need two yards is certainly something.

Hmmm, I would punt that every time, but I was born around the Merger.
