I will give Bieksa extra points here- Ron blathering on about how good the oilers fourth line is, how good Perry was etc. just making the oilers sound like a complete team, and Bieksa says 'Perry was invisible'. Glad he is calling senile old homer Ron on his bull***.

Manhandle the Canucks on NYE in impressive fashion, jump into a playoff spot, then follow it up with two stinkers.
So so so very Flames.
We need more firepower. Since we're not going to be buyers, probably our only hope is in callups. Kerins is probably the guy if they want to add scoring. Hopefully Conroy isn't just giving lip service when he says they've noticed him.

This team missed the playoffs 2 years in a row, then sold off most of its best players. Anyone expecting this to be a good team is not being realistic. Some nights they get results by outworking the other team, but it's not a sustainable way to win.
This won't be a playoff team. And that's ok. Gonna be a while before things turn around.

I’d add Sharangovich to that list. Send them both to the AHL and buy Sharangovich out in the offseason. He’s had half a season to get back on track after his injury. Time to try some young players out.

Not to sound like a broken record. But I think everyone but two players have fulfilled their role on the team this season.
Kuzy and Sharkey’s roll was scoring 20-25 each. That’s a half to a full goal more per game. That would change the makeup of this team.

Running around with a broken stick. It should be as mindless to drop it as it is to put on a seat belt.
At least it happened in a meaningless game of a meaningless season. This guy would do something like that in Game 7.

At least he didn't run around with it for 30 seconds and point it at an opposing player like Rene Bourque did. I remember the ref taking a long time calling that one!

He's keeping the team above the salary floor. He can do that in the press box. If they get rid of him, they need to add salary somewhere else.
Mind you, he played like crap the first half of last season, too, then caught fire the rest of the way. So I'm not ready to write him off completely yet. He'll get other chances to get off the schneid, since it's only a 23-man roster and you can only scratch three players at a time.
