Ex-Flame Trevor Lewis will be playing in game #1000 tonight. Impressive.

Yeah it really is with him.

He was a 1st rd pick that was expected to play top 6 but he realized early on that was not going to be his ticket to stay in the show.

So he re-invented himself and dedicated his efforts to be the best defensive forward he could be, be hard to play against and be a guy that coaches knew would just do what was asked of him.

He's made a really nice career and bank account of it all, team mates love him where ever he has been, has two big shiny rings, and seems like the type that will get into scouting and/or management in the future.

Love those kind of stories.

speaking of ex-Flames (or Wranglers, actually): Ben Jones has just scored his first NHL goal. Didn't know he's already played 20 games for the Wild this season after he couldn't get a crack with the Flames these past two seasons. Good for him!

EDIT: oh no, taken off the board for goalie interference. Poor dude.

Oilers with their 4th straight game tonight against a non-playoff team/bottom feeder. So annoying.

Tanev has 110 blocks this season. I miss Chris Tanev.

Just looked it up and Rasmus is 4th with 101 while Weegar is 9th with 89 blocked shots.

Why does Seattle constantly start Grubauer against the Oilers? They absolutely own him and as per usual they already have 2 past him.

The Knights are cruising to victory, 3-0 over the Sabres midway through the third period.

Shutout watch for Hill while Reimer is playing well in net for the Sabres.

The Kings have won their ninth consecutive home game! They defeated the Lightning 2-1 in regulation time. Kempe with the winning goal.
