To be fair, Georgiev had a .919 SPCT his first season in Colorado (62 games). and he'd been mostly good in New York, although in less games.

I guess so.

It was an off season trade and signing 3 days later.

I always wondered this when you have posters with an average of like 50 posts a day lol. I work remote myself but I couldn’t get away with CP all day and get everything done.

Just a weeeeee bit premature.

If they're going to go long term on a goalie, why not make sure it's the right one?

5 years is the avs window. So either he's the guy or they're going to waste it. I wouldn't be making that gamble just yet.

Sakic is strange

A healthy Blackwood is still with the Devils. If that's the player that the Avs get, they will be set for the next 5 years.

Looking at the numbers it seems like your best bet is to be an accountant, but lawyer is a pretty good bet, too.

Colorado's mental has been crushed so hard by Georgiev the last couple seasons that Blackwood probably looks like the second coming of Roy to them

Once he proved he could do it, they couldn’t afford him.

He’s probably not a .931 goalie, but on the Avs, it’s worth a gamble that he’s a consistent .905-15 guy.

Dude has seen a lot of rubber on a lot of bad teams - it’s probably a nice change of pace for him playing on an elite team with multiple Hall of Famers.

Not as many unpredictably awful plays to account for, and far more run support.

In their heads = where it counts.

Colorado dummied Winnipeg with brutal goaltending. All they needed was a save or 2 in round 2 and they make it to the finals.
