Love Laine, but find it hilarious that all 7 goals are on the PP and he's a -6 (On a terrible defensive team, I know)

As per Friedman, Rempe has been offered an in-person hearing.

Rempe had his elbow up in a dangerous spot and from behind but beyond that is it really worth more than a 2 minute penalty? This hit (aside from the elbow being up) happens dozens of times every game and to look at suspending it for more than 5 games is way over the top. If it would have been anyone other than a star player this wouldn’t even be discussed as a suspension.

But the elbow was up, and Heiskanen didn't turn so it was in the numbers all the way. This is Rempe's 4th game misconduct in 22 games, he's had something like 9 majors (the rest presumably for fighting), and he was suspended last season.

Yeah absolutely the elbow was up, hits from behind like that are very common though, especially when players don’t launch or charge into the hit. This seems like Rempe is getting suspended for his history. He’s had some other really dirty plays before but this is a run of the mill hit with the issue of his elbow being up. If he laid this same hit on Rooney for example it would be a minor penalty.

Plain and simple. Rempe is a clown and it’s embarrassing he represents our city. Hopefully that’s the last we see of him Ever.

Well, first of all, I don't think if someone ran Rooney into the boards from behind and led with the elbow that it would be 2 minutes, but it's hypothetical, so it's not really relevant.

And of course they're taking his history into account. In 21 previous games he got kicked out 3 times. This isn't a guy that's been in the league for a long time and has no disciplinary history. Clearly he doesn't learn too well.

Well, to be honest: He's not a good 5on5 player, never were, probably never will be.

Columbus almost ruined the guy with their antics, Montreal seems to be a good fit, as they know where his strengths are at, and just a hint: Not 5on5.

Someone needs to warn Parros to keep his head up during the hearing.

Yeah, I was looking at the Habs numbers and Dach's plus/minus.... stands out, shall we say?

It's all about the PK (penalty killing).

So the Rangers break out of their slump with the 2-1 win in reg time. Both the Stars and Rangers were perfect on the PK (3/3 Dallas and 7/7 Rangers). Shesterkin was a stud in net with 41 saves.

The Capitals win 3-1 over the Hurricanes. Once again, both teams in this game were also perfect on the PK. The Capitals are 7-2-1 in their past ten games. The Caps had 9 players each get a point.

Utah with a solid road win, 2-1 in reg time. Guenther with 2 goals, the tying and winning goals. Oh yeah, Utah's PK was perfect at 5/5.

The Avs PK was also perfect at 5/5 in their 4-2 win over the Ducks. MacKinnon with 3 points.

The Habs win a thriller in Detroit, 4-3 in reg time. The Habs PK was perfect, 4/4.

There's an unconfirmed rumour that Rempe's suspension is for 8 games.
