What I love about that last Vesey chance where double clutched was that Wolf got over, noted that he held the puck and didn't stay passive. He immediately pushed out to him to cut down an angle. That pressure meant that Vesey didn't even get a shot off because he knew he lost his chance to raise it on the smaller goalie.
The kid is learning how to be a dominant goalie at this level. This is exciting stuff to see.

I think I'm gonna call the Pospisil-Kadri-Kuzmenko line the "doghouse" line. It looks like Huska has decided that he's not gonna saddle anyone else with their low production.

100% - you can tell he's succesful because of his hockey IQ, size has nothing to do with that at all.

OMG...Zary cannot buy a goal. It's getting hard to watch.

His size has him challenging shooters and it seems like they aren’t quite used to it at the NHL level. Instead of the shooters staying patient and letting Wolf overcommit, they tend to make their move too quickly…which is what Wolf wants. There will be times that this blows up in his face but it is definitely better than staying deep in his crease.

This team does work hard, that along with great goaltending is why they are where they are. If PP and offense overall gets going...

What's so good about Wolf is that if you don't beat him over the shoulder, you're very unlikely to beat him. All the holes from the neck down are barely there because of his form, and the his quickness closes everything before a puck can get through.
As long as he can challenge enough to cut down the angle on the high shots, he'll be fine. He's learning how and when to do that now, so again, we're watching a guy figure out how to become a dominant goalie at this level, just as he did at every level before.

Have to say… loving Zary at center. Was worried it would affect his offensive opportunities but he’s getting great chances and more puck touches at center. Would be a huge development to have him become an NHL center.

I feel like Huska coaches like Sutter from the goalie and D first. But they like him?

Exactly my thoughts. This is Sutter's system with a bit more creative freedom and zone defense. Just a more agreeable coach
