Both guys sticks came up...Pospisil's happened to hit Ekholm and Ekholm's didn't hit Pospisil.
Timing sucked, and his stick lift was a little too aggressive, but it's not a lazy penalty or a reckless penalty IMO.
Yeah, kind of hate the attitude around that.
That’s not something to coach out of Pospisil, it’s something to hone and embrace. The guy is successful because he plays hard and battles. It’s going to come with some mistakes and some penalties.
Don’t make the same mistake they made with Bennett.

And Tkachuck...
Embrace the hate

The last one (the trip/slewfoot in the neutral zone) was the one you try to coach out of his game.
That was a reckless play that was needless.
This play is just an unfortunate play that happened when two guys were battling.
About the only coaching I'd be giving there is "be a bit smarter with your stick"
Seeing guys like Tkachuk and Bennett thrive under coaches that let them play their game warts and all should be stuck in the mind of every coach that comes through here.
To be fair, Huska has said at least a couple of times in other interviews that Pospisil is a player that is his best when he plays with that emotion and aggressiveness, and they have no intention of asking him to change his game because that's what's made him successful, but they're trying to help him get as close to that line without crossing it so much.

Sounds like Bennett? Plays on the edge, gotta live with the bonehead penalties.

Also works great for tanking.

Might just be me too, but over the last couple of seasons it seems like Backlund is thrown out of the faceoff about half the time, so the winger has to take it.
