You are correct that some have ascribed Utah and Vegas as being the Flames. I don’t think they are that bad. However, I think that they benefited from some bounces in first few games. I’m thinking of a couple goals basically bouncing in off Huberdeau. We will see though. They are much better than I would have thought and that is why it is fun to see them play the games.
"This is, in fact, a bad team. Plenty of depth players, but as other posters have said, nearly everybody is playing about one line up from where they would be slotted on a good team. Contending teams are going to dummy them regularly."

Sounds like a balanced take on an over .666 hockey club after a huge win to me lol

They have played 2 bad games...Jets are the best team in the NHL right now and the Flames were an iffy penalty away from taking at least a point outta that one. Carolina was a one goal game. No contending teams are not going to "dummy them regularly"

Call me crazy but I hope they beat the consensus pre season cup favorites again tonight to go 7-4-1

I guess we will see how the season goes. I think he is right in describing the roster. They are missing a first line. You list .666 as if they are going to keep playing at that pace. That may occur. In my looking at NHL.com the Flames are at .591 points percentage. They needed that last win to get back in the 96 point pace. That’s a wildcard pace. Better than expected. They can’t have too many more 3+ losing streaks if they hope to compete this year.
