The Konency SHG was due to a Coleman give-away. The adage "the best defense is a good offense" is particularly relevant on PPs where good offensive execution should greatly limit goals against opportunities. Defense-strong forwards with less offensive skill don't create a lot of scoring opportunities allowing the PK team to more easily turn the play in the other direction.

I will watch every Kuzy interview, they're always entertaining.

I don't mind having Backlund there, as he has historically produced on the powerplay and can win faceoffs. However, he struggled on the powerplay last season, so if that continues, perhaps they should put Pospisil in.

Coleman scored 30 goals last year and needs to get going. If he can't produce, I'd think you put Coronato in his place.

Hopefully Barrie can set up some of those lefties on the 2nd unit

We only scored 2 goals last game minus the empty net.
So it looks to me like the D who have solidified spots are:

Weegar
Andersson
Bahl
Pachal

The fringe players are:

Miromanov
Bean

Huska’s favorite is:

Barrie

Paid pressbox sitter:

Hanley.

My question is. If Miromanov isn’t cutting it. Why not give a shot to the guys on the farm like Crushnikov and Brzustewicz

Miromanov was pretty solid in 20 games last season.

I think they'll give him more rope than 4 games this year before exposing him to waivers.

Brz is still adjusting to the AHL and needs time there. His play down there doesn't scream that he's ready for the NHL at all.

I'm not sure I'll ever completely understand the impatience of some sports fans.

I should exercise more patience with them.

Well, in fairness, Wayne Rooney isn't exactly a 'spring chicken' anymore and switching sports that late in your career is a tough ask.

If you thought this season would have a happy ending, you haven't been paying attention.

Mickey Rooney was unable to overcome the league's bias toward taller players.

Well, also, being dead certainly hasn't helped his cause.

Not until we fund the National Undead Hockey League.
