^ Rooney still injured. Coronato moves up to take Honzek's spot. Kirkland stays at C. Klapka draws back in.

Damn, it sucks. He really needed a full healthy season.

My spidey senses tell me it isn't a concussion (hopefully). It seems that typically with concussions, they don't use the "week to week" description, at least not right off the bat. They tend to use days moreso due to how unpredictable they can be, although they certainly can add up to weeks. When the concussion protocol period is over, they tend to change it at the point to "indefinite" if there hasn't been progress.

Unless they already know it's a bad enough concussion to warrant "week to week", which wouldn't be good at all.

Mentally this will be a tough one for him I'd imagine. Kid cannot stay healthy.

Happy to see Klapka back in as I thought he was very noticeable in the two games he played and is a better fit for the 4th line than Coronato.

Wasn't a fluke injury though. He got crushed as can happen to rookies breaking into the league not used to being hit by big strong, men.

Even worse he went in to finish a check and just got stood up!

Coronato with Kadri and Kuzmenko? Are they playing Coronato on the LW?

I would have thought Zary on Kadri's LW, then Coleman on Backlund's LW with Coronato on his RW

I don't think he went in to finish a check, I think he went in to give a casual, fly-by check. And Murphy surprised him with the reverse hit. He wasn't ready, and got rocked. Good lesson there - welcome to the bigs.

I would need to find a replay but his head definitely snapped back hard after contact, but maybe not from direct head contact. I

Correct.

Almost all concussions are a result of the whiplash action that slams the brain against the rear skull …then frontal skull.

The crowd angle looked like he got hit on the chin... and even if he avoided that, as you said, his head whipping back so violently could cause a concussion.

Whatever it is, this sucks for him. He keeps building momentum and then gets injured. Hopefully, he learns from it and protects himself better going forward, rather than shifts to a softer playing style. I really feel for him.

Part of me wonders if his play this past month has something to do with Pospisil training with him. His go-go style these last few weeks has been similar to Pospisil, and perhaps that's made him a little wreckless (although effective).

I think he knew he was injured with the way he broke his stick. Players usually break or toss sticks after an injury or missed opportunity.

Canmore?

I get that the Saddledome is booked for a couple of concerts over the next few days, but WinSport wasn't available? The Wranglers are on the road.

Since @MFradiology is tagged it most likely not concussion related since xrays/CT/MRI's are not typically used for concussion diagnosis
