The offside goal isnt really a bad break when you are 2 feet offside.

You always quote me in the weirdest ways.
The step behind comment was in reference to Bingo's comment - I wasn't saying Honzek is a step behind, just saying that a guy that's a step behind wouldn't/shouldn't be there anyway.

Lots of chatter from Oiler fans about Backlund's slash on Skinner.
Take another look at the play where Perry scores the disallowed goal. Just before he goes to the front of the net, he spears Andersson in the balls. If that was a Flame spearing an Oiler, we would have seen it 50 times, and there would be a very loud public outcry for the league to look at it. But not a single mention of it , even though everyone saw it several times while they were showing the replay of Perry interfering with Vladar.
Can someone make a gif or clip of it? (right before Perry's disallowed goal in the 1st period)

Also, not a single mention of the cross check on Kuzmenko in the numbers, pushing him into the boards, other than a 'big hit' comment from Louie

I missed the game last night but watched the recap. Skinner got away with a cross-check at the blue line earlier in the play of his goal.

He chopped Vladar too, and never left the crease

FWIW I agree with this 100%, we are talking about a first-year pro. If he stumbles, he goes to the Wranglers, if he excels with the Wranglers, I could see him up with the Flames for good.

Scoring Winger

To be fair, a lot of guys on both teams were getting away with cross checks last night. After he broke up that three on one, Backlund cross checked that Oiler right in the spine, for example.
