We're not making the playoffs even with this lineup, so I'm not sure why we can't just load it up with prospects and see if any of them can figure it out. Who knows... maybe a guy like Pelletier does better playing with NHL scrubs vs AHL scrubs? Sucks that we seem determined to never find out.

8 defenceman means you get 4 pairs which matches the 4 forward lines

I think this is also a better decision for the Wranglers. There is a whole bunch of talented, young defenseman needing playing time on the AHL roster. Adding Hanley to that group would be even worse.

The big club needs 3 guys to sit in the press box. Might as well be vets on league min that aren’t really going to develop any further.
