All players are now back with the Hurricanes from camps. Looking forward to see what Menighan can do in the crease after his time in Tampa. Nothing better than learning from some of the best

Not a good game from the Tigers, too many penalties and basically a carbon copy of the playoff series last season.
Probably take a little time to gel.
Hurricanes continue their hot start erasing a 3-1 deficit with a 5 goal 3rd period vs the Broncos. Nice tidy 3-0-0 start for them.

Yeah, the Rebels seem to have the Tigers number for some reason and it's becoming quite the rivalry in my opinion. The two teams clash again tonight back in the Hat, hopefully we'll see a better effort from the Tigers.

I needed a good laugh after the Rebels swept the Tigers this weekend. Thanks Don Brennan.

It's getting quite troubling at this point. Going back to last year though, it's pretty clear that the weak link for the Tigers is goaltending.

Hopefully Zahara can come back and right that ship. He's the 19yo, so far the 18yo and 17yo aren't getting the job done.
If it continues to be a weak spot Willy may have to use some of his depth to make an upgrade.
To be fair, the team is not playing very good D on front of the goalies either though.

Wow, Willy not messing around. Goes out and gets one of the top goalies in the league. Meneghen is an over age though so the Tigers had to trade one to make room and sent Brayden Boehm to Victoria for a 3rd and cond 5th.
The trade for Meneghen was one for one for Shane Smith it sounds like.

I figure better at the start of the season than at the end - Lindstrom hopefully returning soon to the Hat, it'll be like Jimmy Chitwood playing ball for Hickory in the movie Hoosiers lol

Pretty big win for them. Hopefully a turning point, especially with Menaghan steady for the shut out.

Tigers pummel the Wheaties tonight 6-1 and it was a dominant win all over the ice.
The last two games they looked like the Tigers I expected. Lots of puck possession, chances, shots, goals etc.
They lost Harsanyi though, looked like a pretty serious knee injury. They are basically losing a player every game it seems, plus the trades.
In the last week they've lost Boehm (trade), Smith (trade), Ritchie (injury), Harsanyi (injury). Luckily Ward came back tonight, but he's playing with a broken finger.
And Basha was an absolute force tonight. All over the place out there.

Nice comeback win for the Tigers last night over the Giants, that's three in a row for the Tabbies. It's starting to come together.

Tigers got blasted 8-1 by the Cougars
They had seven 16 year olds dressed as they lost two more Dmen in the Giants game on the weekend, both Paranych and Muhonen now listed as week to week.
They called up Boyzaka and Steen to play D from SAHA to go along with Ruck, Ruck, SGC, Watson and Ryan-Mackay as 16 year olds
I haven't heard if they sustained any more injuries last night but it wouldn't surprise me, as it's been pretty every single game so far this season.
Pickford's suspension is done now, so he'll be back and Ritchie is day to day and could be back on the weekend too.
They also traded 19yo goalie Zahara to the Wenatchee Wild for a couple picks before yesterday's game.
