I think all Pee Wee coaches should have to wear that hat.
I'm not saying they need to bring a Guitar onto the bench...but that hat? Mandatory.

Got invited to be on the show because I was a school patrol. Approx 1976. I remember being so excited to be on TV.

How to tell us you have one of those walkers with the Tennis Balls without telling us you have a walker with the Tennis Balls.

I'm a solid decade younger than you (I'm guessing) and I pulled my Hamstring getting out of a Truck.
So I jest in Good Faith.

"Is it Orange Juice?" No. Not really. It is technically orange, in colour, but I wouldnt bet that any actual Oranges were harmed in it's creation.
Orange Drink and those little plastic cups of ice cream you ate with a tongue depressor are the iconic food-like substances of the 80s.
RIP Buckshot. Absolute legend.

My kindergarten class got to be on the show in ~1990.
It was awesome, and the pied pickle (?) had burgers for everyone afterward.

As I’ve grown older, I’ve immense respect and admiration for Buckshot and people like him (eg Fred Rogers). Imagine walking down Calgary streets and having people of all ages come up to you and tell how you touched their lives as a kid.
What a joy that would be. Rest in Peace

All I can get
I used to see him at the local pool. He'd be holding court in the lobby with the seniors before/after their equalize class. Every Flames game day he'd be decked out in full Flames regalia: Toque, jersey, jacket, scarf etc.

Amazing.
I mean...heres this old man just going about his day, doing his thing and there are people coming up to him who are ADULTS, with their own children and telling him how much he meant to them when they were children.
Thats gotta be wild.
And what concerns me most? Guys like Buckshot and Rogers? They havent been replaced.
Kids are growing up and they're looking up to...us? Yikes.
We've gotta do better.

You know they had to get rid of those because they actually became a standard measurement for Cocaine...

Musta known its target audience advertising on that show: Single SAH moms?
That's why Buckshot always said "be good to your mommy" at the end of the show.

My sister made it onto the show. I hope my parents still have the tape somewhere.

Performed by Jean-Jacques Perrey, who also did ‘March of the Martians’ – the theme from
Hilarious House of Frightenstein!
Those early synthesizers were primitive and wonky, but man, people made some fun sounds with them.

Wow, as a music history nerd I'm a huge Jean Jacques Perrey fan, that's super cool he used an early electronic song for his theme.

Because of those ice cream cups, that wooden thing forever triggers me to taste ice cream even if they hadn't been in ice cream.
