Can’t wait to see whether it’s Jake “the Snake” Boltmann or Demetrios “Both Names are Hard to Spell” Koumontzis land at the coveted #40 prospect ranking

All I can get

What with bouncing back and forth between junior teams, not to mention school commitments, I dub Cade Littler the “Littler Hobo.”

I wish there was a scientist here who could explain why Koumintzis is even still a Flames prospect. Nothing against him, and I hope he somehow makes it, but it doesn’t make sense to me that the Flames still hold his rights.

I think Iginlajew has potential and if he’s in the AHL he has a chance to prove himself.

I went Ignatjew, because he most likely will see time in the NHL, and will get a chance to show his stuff.

Maybe but San Jose also gave up on him
It would require some miracle development for him to turn it around
Whoever does the pro scouting for the Flames still suck pretty bad

Because they had one debatable miss last year?

What a dumb comment.
So a scout or scouting department can't be wrong in any single instance or they suck?
In a profession that gets it right probably 30% of the time.

I think that Okhotyiuk perhaps got rushed to the NHL, and things just sort of unwound for him from there. Probably got rattled and second-guessed his own decisions. Who knows? I would say that playing regularly in a professional league might be what is best for him. If he improves, I imagine he will be back. He was obviously intent on playing in the NHL.
As for last place, I thought I would point out an interesting wrinkle between the Boltman and Koumountzis race for last place.
Today is August 8th. There are 9 prospects left, so there are 8 more rounds to go, with the 2nd last and last place declared on August 16th. The wrinkle is that Boltman is set to become UFA on August 16th, as the Flames need to sign him by August 15th. We may be voting on that last day, and the results may be nullified by this wrinkle on this very last day, assuming that Boltman is one of the final 2 prospects.
Gives this year's voting a little bit more drama.

Shane Malloy is doing a draft efficiency review on his show. NHL Average is 28%, so you are bang on Bingo. He hasn't done the Pacific Division yet, so nothing on the Flames.

I’m mostly interested now just to see who Mr Irrelevant is going to be. Predictions?
I’d have to guess Boltmann, no particular rhyme or reason.

Jamieson, mainly because a few posters here seem to think there is a chance he could turn into something, and I myself have no clue at this point.
