I do feel like the industry has a fanboy problem (it definitely bleeds into some reviewers) with some piling on wanting some developers and console brands to fail and all that stuff does is hurt the industry at the end of the day. The reviews are all over the place with Dragon Age with lots of 8+ reviews and then a lot of weird low reviews where they state the game is good but nitpick at it and give it a 6 score which these days is usually reserved for bad games. Then that weird Gamespot review where the reviewer said the game was mediocre as a mage but a blast with the rogue and warrior.

The five hours I've spent as a rogue (and hour-ish I've tried warrior) have been significantly more enjoyable than mage and completely adjusted my opinion of the game's combat (and my overall enjoyment) at the eleventh hour. I was prepared to leave the experience disappointed as a whole, and now I'm having a blast.

Then he circles back at the end saying the score is based on his 30 hours with a mage that he didn't enjoy. I don't think that's fair to a game to give it a low score if one of the optional classes isn't as good as the others.
