Zarubin sounds a lot like Rittch. I remember Woodely talking about Rittich and Markstrom in the off-season that the Flames signed Markstrom. That year, Markstrom was the only goalie not to allow a long range bad goal, and Rittich was one of the worst in the NHL at allowing them.
However, Rittich scored spectacularly well on difficult saves. I forgot what Woodley categorized that as - "acrobatic saves"? Rittich was an elite-level high-danger chance saving goalie, but just lacked the mental focus for the rather boring stretches.
