I wish they could have added one legged hopping, backwards/sideways running, skipping, high knees/bum kicks, and potato sack racing in 100m and 200m formats to help Bolt collect more medals.

I don't know how golfers can be considered athletes. It would be like have a professional bowler, snooker, or dart player on the list.

I do think competitions for precision can be counted as sports - darts, archery, bowling, snooker, they should all count. So is curling.
On the other hand, should equestrain, horse racing, car racing be considered sports?

F1 drivers are 20x the athletes of any of the people who play the pub games you listed. Or baseball players and golfers for that matter.
