That’s a bit of a reach. I still think you’re better off offering the full 8 right off the bat if you think they’re worth. In my opinion, Byfield played good enough to warrant an 8 year extension. But, maybe he knows the cap is going up and is banking on having a better payday after this contract. I just think it’s funny the Kings were more than willing to pony up the 8 years for PLD and dump him right away.
