I have a Google Sheet and meal plan a month out.

This allows me to do an effective meat shop right before the start of the month and makes grocery shopping/ordering so much easier.

I'm not sure I could raw dog dinner every night. Sounds like a hassle.

Rarely? My wife does that and I'll cook about once a week tying in all the ingredients that are on the verge of spoiling because #### happens.

But even then what we cook is mainly just permutations of the the same ingredients. Fried rice, omelets, stir-fry and wraps are only a few ingredients different than what we normally buy and slightly different sauces/spices and prep.

we meal plan for 2 weeks so we can do a bi-weekly grocery shop
i have a reference guide of meals to choose from, I couldn't imagine trying to figure out daily what we should eat that day.

plan?

I mean beside taking out a protein in the morning, nope.

Half the fun is opening the fridge to see what there is to work with.

Sometimes I'll bye stuff for a specific meal, but really ain't much planning

Any time I have meal planned I have used a combo of my own cooking and then using a meal service to fill in gaps. They're pricey though. I've used Dedicate Healthy Kitchen quite a bit

https://www.dedicatekitchen.com/

If anyone lives near Marda Loop and drops in I highly recommend the "Wicked Walnut" protein shake. I've had a lot of protein shakes in my life and JFC that thing is unreal.

I don't really see the need to meal prep 24/7 unless it is doctor ordered or you're competing. It's way too hard to maintain. I'd just change habits.

People would be surprised how much you can lose if you hit the gym 2-3 days a week, quit drinking alcohol and pop, and stay away from processed foods. I completely quit drinking and weed for 3 months, ate semi clean (no snacks after 9PM), hit the gym 5 days a week and lost about 5% body fat. I firmly believe the liquor was ruining my metabolism.

CC you should speak to your family doctor's office about getting a consultation with a dietician. It sounds like you are intent on living a healthy lifestyle but that is an insane calorie deficit for a long term diet. If you talk to someone they can hopefully work with you to figure something out for long term success and not just for the immediate weight loss.
