This is an easy Honzek for me.
If he stays healthy, he’s a top-6 forward.

Not sure Klapka should be C tier. He had a very good season developement wise.

with all of the people calling Honzek a bust and a disappointment around here, I expected him to slip a bit. Also expected Poirier to slip.
Voting Morin, as I think he (and Honzek) have lots of upside.

Yeah i think its an interesting pairing as both Honzek and Morin had dissapointing production (and GP) drops from their draft year, yet Honzek seems to be the one that a lot of folks are more concerned won't bounce back. At least that's what i thought from a number of comments i've seen as well.
Yet, based on this pole Honzek seems to have the confidence of the majority of CP that he's a top 5 prospect in an improved system. Perhaps its just a vocal minority that have lost confidence in Honzek.
Either way, I agree with you that both Honzek and Morin have significant upside still and I feel some have been quick to downplay their potential based on last season

Honzek’s 23-24 was disappointing to me. He was 4th on his junior team in points per game, less than 1.0 PPG, down significantly from 22-23. Also, he has a November, 2004 birthday, so he is on the older side for his draft year.
I’m hoping that the injury in the first 2 months of 23-24 means he simply wasn’t ready for the season and that he has a bounce back as a rookie in the AHL.

Basha's point totals far superior to Honzek's despite being a lot younger. Basha progressed. Honzek regressed. Basha is healthy. Honezek is injury prone.
Both were ranked around 20-30 in their draft year.
Honzek had the worst regression for any Flames 1st round prospect in over 20 years. Statistically speaking, this kind of regression is extremely concerning for players in their D+1 year.
Lipinski outplayed Honzek as a 4th round pick. He's more all around.
Gridin has a much better NHLe than Honzek did or does. He has the best point totals out of any remaining prospect IMO. But I have more questions about his play than I do Basha.

Yeah, I have Honzek ahead right now, but I think I could easily be swayed to move Gridin and Basha ahead of Honzek at the moment.

Fairplay on Klapka for Da Wolfman.
As noted, threw it together in rapid fire - probably deserving of the B- class.
Thanks!

Was just looking back through the years and it shocked me to see Pelletier has been in these since 2019. This will be his 6th prospect poll.
I fear this may be his make it or break it season.

Honzek just doesn't excite me right now.. Surprised he is so high.. I really hope I'm wrong though and he bounces back in a big way this year.

I agree, Honzek needs to bounce back. He has all kinds of potential, but his development has been badly set back and he needs to make up for lost time.
I went with Gridin because he seems to have a real knack for making smart plays. If he doesn't pan out as a scorer, he has the tools and IQ to be a very good checker. And he appears highly motivated to make the NHL in whatever role he can. I think that gives him a higher floor than some of the other prospects with comparable ceilings.
