Exact same trajectory as Klapka IMO. Miserable first half of a season on North-American ice, then figure your game out, bada-bing, bada-boom, get an NHL debut.

I think Coronanto is a surer prospect and would be drafted higher in a redraft. But Brzustewicz has that small hint of elite upside that as a fan is very exciting. So I voted for him.

The grouping to me right here is:
Coronato, Bruzustewicz, Pelletier, Honzek, Gridin, Basha, Poirier
Injuries hurt all of Pelletier, Honzek, and Poirier last season, but I'd still have them in this grouping.

I went with Solovyov, I think this is the year he cracks the lineup. With Chris "Shotblocker-supreme" Tanev gone, Solovyov is my number one defensive defenseman replacement, I have watched this guy block a half dozen shots every AHL game, especially when it matters. (and also I am going to be so sad if we don't get his and Wolf's post-win tradition)

I think Coronato is closer the NHL, I changed my mind on who is the better prospect.
There's no wrong answers here, simmer down. Tomorrow I may change my mind again

Coronato. He's still working on some aspects to his game, but the determination is there.
Though Honzek is fast on his heels.

Honzek should be 4 but Brzustewicz’s monster season and Honzek’s injury will sway it the other way.
I like Brzust but haven’t given up on Honzek’s potential yet.

I'm with you. This is the toughest year yet imo. One day I'm thinking one way, then go through the list the next day and it's "oh ####, I really like him as well". I'm assuming this is a good sign for the organization. I'm positive there will be someone who goes in the 20's that will surprise and it'll be fun to see who that ends up being.

Yeah changing your mind in a tight prospect pool is 100% understandable.
Not sure I have my head around not wanting to vote for a guy that didn't win the previous round so you switch though.

The best thing about these pills this year is the sheer amount that I am so high on. Our scouts have done a great job recently. It's exciting!

No kidding. For example. I love Solovyov, I think he will be an NHL next year, but I have a hard time fitting him into the top 10.

My tiers are as follows:
(1) likely elite NHLers - Parekh
(2) NHLers, potentially elite - Wolf, Coronato
(3) potentially NHLers, potentially elite in their roles - Pelletier, Brz, Stromgren, Grushnikov, Suniev, Poirier, Soloyov, Klapka
(4) potentially NHLers, potentially elite in their roles, but unproven since drafted - Morin, Mews, Basha, Gridin, Battaglia, Misa, Honzek, Jurmo, Hurtig, Sergeev, Lipinski,
(5) potentially NHL tweeners - Morton, Ciona, Schwindt
This isn't necessarily how I will vote though as some unproven players have more upside potential than future role players.

I went Brz but like Coronato here too
The interesting one to me will be Pelletier. Like we talked about in yesterday's thread, I'm still high on him, and wouldn't be surprised to see him pop off this year, but he's still going to suffer a bit in my rankings because of the injuries

I like our prospects and appreciate your enthusiasm, but almost all of these guys are unproven. There have been lots of Robbie Schremps (600 goals, 1300 points) get no more than a cup of coffee in the NHL despite having great showings in junior or even the minors.
I think Parekh has the highest ceiling of the bunch but for all we know he'll turn out to be a one-dimensional, power-play specialist like Bouchard (who I would hardly call elite).
Wolf could be great. But then again he has a kinda similar pedigree to John Gillies. So, goalie-voodoo stuff.
If Coronato was elite, he'd likely already have a full time job in the NHL like Bedard. I think his ceiling is much more likely a regular in the top 6.
The rest listed are even more unproven and statically are more likely to never have a full time NHL role than they are to being elite at anything on the ice.
I hope I'm wrong and you're right, but all this hype and unrealistic expectations will probably only lead to disappointment.

Pelletier might follow the Coleman development pattern.
Coleman was 25 when he entered the league, but got a reputation for being a smaller guy who did the right things in all 200ft of the game.
Pelletier is only 23 now, he is just getting his man strength. he will be an excellent addition to any team by the time he is 25.

I think Coronato could be a solid 2nd line guy starting this year.
Today I thought Honzek had a higher ceiling.

Voted Morin before Coronato. I think he’ll be a more impactful NHL player, maybe a captain/assistant at some point too.

Sounds like you need to get yourself to an NA meeting stat!
But yes, rebuilds may make the season a slog but at least they make the offseason more interesting.
