Thought I included Zary by mistake.

Parekh for me. This is exactly the upside of players who go top 10 in a draft. It’s not a guaranteed nhler or star in the top 10, but the hope and the possibility…

Parekh is pretty much a guaranteed NHLer. Just a question if 1st or 2nd pairing defenseman. Wolf a close second. If it wasn't for the size issue probably be number 1 on this list.

For me the top three are pretty cut-and-dry:
Parekh
Wolf
Coronato

The fun starts at pick 4.
Does Stromgren grab the place based on the hype of rookie camp and a strong finish last season?
Does Pelletier grab it as he is sure to be on the big club this season, has dominated the AHL and is a first rounder?
Does Honzek get consideration despite his poor season last year?
How about Bruz? He had a great D+1, and a so-so Development camp.

Very intersting poll this year.

Prospect pool is kind of starting to get insane IMO

Adding Brzu, Grush and Jurmo, and then IMO this recent draft yielded no less than 6 very high quality prospects (Parekh, Gridin, Basha, Battaglia, Mews, Misa) plus 4 others.

Also having Stromgren surging since the turn of the calendar and looking like the real deal too.

EDIT: I'm also really looking forward to Hurtig being with the Hitmen this year. It'll be nice to see how he stacks up at that level.

I went Parekh as he is the most likely to become a superstar, but I truly feel Dustin Wolf has the highest ceiling of any prospects.

Kid could be a difference maker in almost every game if he reaches his potential (but I'm also one that believes the goalie position is the most important in hockey).

I am a huge fan of Lipinkski. I figure he belongs in the top 10.
His D+1 numbers don't blow you away, but his X's and O's are strong.
I love the way he wants to cut to the middle of the ice.

Zayne by a hair. Wolf gets serious consideration.

What stands out to me is the interviews . No amount of media training teaches these guys to be articulate, honest , transparent, teachable , listening skills, NO EGO, just raw this is me and I'm okay with that.

My takeaways from these kids is the future of this team has never been brighter.
They've all got something to contribute all on different levels.

It's like a great coach in the NHL once said before a game abou the amount of minutes each guy would have and why.
But each guy wasn't left feeling like his 8 minutes wasn't as important and the guy who'd play 24 because thay 8 minute guy might have to step Into that role, be ready to elevate his game so the team wouldn't really feel or see the difference.

I think Craig knows this better than anyone after watching behind thr scenes and seeing what's potentially working and what's never going to work. People placed in certain spots are the puzzle he's solving.

Along the way pieces that have been missing have been found and they aren't reclamation projects , PTOs or things reaking of desperation and warm bodies either.

This kids are leaders in they're respective classes but have a pedigree of winning at every level in thisr role. This....this ladies and gentlemen is how a culture is built.

Conroy and Company get top marks.

I have Parekh and Wolf as the only two pieces that I would consider part of the future core this team will try to win with. There could be some other core pieces already drafted that just develop better than expected (I would bet on this actually), and the rest is yet to be drafted. These are (so far) the first 2 blue-chippers moving forward.

What Wolf has done is amazing. If he was 2-3" taller, he would probably be regarded as a top 10 prospect regardless of position. I think he will have his ups and downs this year, but I am sure that by the end of the season, he will be looked upon as part of the future core moving forward.

If he was 2-3" taller, we likley wouldn't have been able to draft him.

It's far from an unfair assessment of his potential ceiling. He didn't say floor. He said ceiling.

We've come a long way from me insisting Morgan Klimchuk should be ranked No. 1. This is Parekh by a mile.
